The new flagship Louis Vuitton store opened its doors officially and in grand style.
This new triplex store, with its 11-metre-high façade, faces the always bustling shopping thoroughfare of Jalan Bukit Bintang. Its frontage of perforated aluminium panels recall the legendary monogram pattern which has become the mainstay of luxury travel seen in the steamer trunks of yesteryear and now a mainstay of its iconic fashion, leather goods, footwear, jewellery and even timepieces.
Inside, one finds a veritable homage to Louis Vuitton’s all-encompassing universe including an entire floor on Level 2 dedicated to men, another for women on Level 3, and numerous objets d’art, exclusive pieces such as a foosball table, vintage furniture, fine jewellery, timepieces, custom and commissioned art pieces as well as private client salons (one of which is gilded with golden wallpaper).

And quite inevitably such a stunning flagship would be officially introduced in grand style, with a fabulous fashion party which brought the crowds of fashion lovers into Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The appearance of the maison’s ambassador Jackson Wang, Hong Kong-born rapper, singer, songwriter and member of South Korean boy band Got7, supercharged the atmosphere, leading to throngs of fans by the thousands lined along the fashionably black carpet from midday itself.
By evening, as the proceedings were underway, the crowds would continually erupt into cheers as the stream of celebrities started emerging and walked down the carpet, culminating in the white-hot arrival of Wang who surprised a couple by the carpet with a gift of a Louis Vuitton Keepall Bandouliere 25, adding his signature to the box as reported by Xiaohongshu.
