This Limited-Edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Says Goodbye To A Decades-Old Movement

In 1978, Audemars Piguet debuted a new perpetual calendar movement—Calibre 2120/2800, the height of design and technology for the era. Over the next few decades, it powered many of the manufacture’s timepieces, most iconically in the Royal Oak collection. In 2015, it evolved into Calibre 5134 and adapted to contemporary watch sizing; later, it was introduced as a skeletonised version, the Calibre 5135. These movements are now being retired to make way for the next generation Calibre 7138, but not before one final swansong.

The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked “150th Anniversary” holds one final run of Calibre 5135, and with it, a goodbye to a classic movement that stood for decades. Inspired by an historical openworked pocket watch, it is fitted with a transparent sapphire dial to showcase the mechanics beneath it. Deep blue accents are found on the subdials, inner bezel, and hands. Its diameter is 41mm, the case is titanium, and it has a Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG) bezel that is exceptionally corrosion- and wear-resistant. The watch is limited to 150 pieces.

Chapter Two Of The Louis Vuitton x Murakami Spring 2025 Collection Is An Ode To The Turn Of The Millennium

Y2K trends are in vogue right now and there is no better collection that encapsulates this than the re-edition of Louis Vuitton X Murakami, which first made its debut two decades ago. At the time, the maison’s collaboration with the iconic Japanese artist Takashi Murakami redefined and revolutionised luxury fashion’s relationship with art and street culture. The dynamic duo’s complete re-imagination of the brand’s iconic LV logo at the time was also unprecedented. The new collection celebrates spring with Murakami’s Cherry Blossom motif, which translates to cheerful pink flower heads and graceful petals. Chapter One was hailed by fashion aficionados everywhere with more than 200 multicore items, and Chapter 2 is set to follow suit with more than 40 pieces comprising bags, footwear, and fragrances. The playful designs include newly worked versions of two classic Louis Vuitton bags—a Capucines Mini and an On The Go in Monogram canvas.

Cartier’s Echina Necklace From Nature Sauvage Chapter 3 Pays An Unusual Tribute To Sea Urchins

Sea urchin shells are rigid, calcareous structures that shield the soft body of the sea animals and deter predators. In fact, their sharp spines are even used as amulets. However, the high jewellery artisans at Cartier have reimagined these sea creatures like never before in the form of the dazzling Echina necklace as part of Chapter 3 of their Nature Sauvage Collection. Coral-studded emeralds alternate with sapphires, with the former serving as homages to the maison’s ribbed beads design that dates to the 1920s. Its stunning structure is set around an emerald centre stone on an openwork diamond-paved lacework, mirroring the small plates on the sea urchins shell that interlock together, creating an even stronger and more crack-resistant shell structure. The combination of green, blue, and coral shades takes the wearer on a journey through a colourful marine realm, while its graphic abstraction reflects Cartier’s signature mastery in high jewellery craftsmanship.

Royal Selangor Celebrates Its 140th Anniversary

In commemoration of its remarkable journey since 1885, Royal Selangor unveils Spirit of Artistry—a year-long celebration showcasing vintage props and archival details to honour its heritage. As part of the event, Royal Selangor worked with local artists Abdul Rashade, Iskandar, and Adi Azwan of Wise Works Collective to bring a striking graffiti mural to life, visually narrating the brand’s legacy through time. The brand has also beautifully restored its vintage Volkswagen Kombi, adding to the nostalgia as a symbol of Selangor Pewter’s expansion in the 1970s and 1980s. A testament to its pioneering spirit and unwavering dedication, the Kombi was once driven by Soh Eng, wife of second-generation founder Yong Peng Kai, as she personally delivered the goods to each destination.

Enjoy Authentic Malaysian Flavours At Marriott Bonvoy’s Properties With ‘The Malaysian Kitchen’

Have you ever complained that food in hotels may be too sterile or not authentic to what’s available out there to locals? Well, Marriott Bonvoy in Malaysia is stepping-up and bringing the very best Malaysian flavours to its properties this year, thanks to its ‘The Malaysian Kitchen’ initiative. “Guests often seek genuine local flavours, but they sometimes feel that hotel food is adapted for tourists,” Masri Masri, senior area director of operations, Indonesia & Malaysia, Marriott International, said in a statement. “The Malaysian Kitchen bridges that gap—offering authentic dishes with consistent quality, crafted by some of the best chefs across our portfolio.” For instance, the Nasi Lemak Ayam Rendang offered at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur tastes as authentic and as warm as though served at a family reunion, while the Char Koay Teow served at the Penang Marriott Hotel brings the soul of the island’s street food culture into its hotel premises, thanks to chef Lee Keen Suaan and his team imbuing it with plenty of wok hei.

“With ‘The Malaysian Kitchen’, we aim to bring this culinary magic directly to our guests,” Ramesh Jackson, regional vice president, Indonesia & Malaysia, Marriott International, said in a statement. “We want every guest to experience the same authenticity, consistency, and richness of flavours that they would find in the beloved bazaars or family kitchens of Malaysia without ever needing to step outside our hotels.” So, no matter which Malaysian hotel or resort under the Marriot Bonvoy umbrella you visit this year, their skilled chefs and masterful kitchen teams will ensure your culinary adventure starts the moment you check in.
