Aptly so, as the new Phantom Ultimate builds on 10 years of relentless innovation, embodying the brand’s pursuit of sonic perfection and unmistakable sound signature.
Available in 98 dB and 108 dB configurations, the Phantom Ultimate exemplifies Devialet’s philosophy of merging art with engineering. The 108 dB model delivers 1,100 watts of total amplification power, producing sound pressure levels of up to 108 decibels with a frequency range from 14 Hz to 35 kHz. Meanwhile, the more compact 98 dB version puts out 400 watts, achieving a range between 18 Hz and 25 kHz. Both promise distortion-free playback and the ability to reproduce even the most delicate details in a recording, making for a truly versatile set of speakers able to reach the corners of every room with defined sound.
Visually, the Phantom Ultimate maintains the sculptural identity that has defined Devialet’s design language, albeit with minor refreshes that demanded a comprehensive rework of the central core and assembly process. Namely, the removal of the woofer core cover on the 108dB and a reimagining of the tweeter grille, which now features cleaner lines and an optimised aperture. Finishes for the Phantom Ultimate include Light Pearl, Deep Forest, and the hand-gilded Opéra de Paris edition, the latter crafted in collaboration with Ateliers Gohard, famed for restoring the Palais Garnier.
With its blend of advanced engineering, refined design, and seamless functionality, the Phantom Ultimate represents a new benchmark for home audio. The 98 dB model retails at RM8,090, while the 108 dB version is priced at RM17,990 (RM9,990 and RM20,990, respectively, for the Opéra de Paris editions). Both are available now at Devialet’s boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur as well as authorised retailers nationwide.
