SIHH 2018: A. Lange & Söhne outdoes itself again with the Triple Split

By Kenneth Tan | January 20, 2018

Keep pushing forward

Proving its motto of never standing still, A. Lange & Söhne outdoes itself with the world’s first mechanical split seconds chronograph which allows multi-hour comparative time measurements. The succintly named Triple Split has additional rattrapante hands on the minute and hour totalisers, making it possible for this timepiece to measure the hours, minutes and seconds of not just one but two discrete reference times. An example would be measuring the time it takes to complete for the winner and second-placed finisher in a triathlon, Formula 1 race or Tour de France leg. with limits of measure up till 12 hours. Limited to 100 pieces, each Triple Split comes in a 43.2mm white gold case, with a height of 15.6mm, and is priced at €139,000 (RM671,000) per piece.
