Flexform Unveils A Collection That Envisions Furniture As Storytellers
Flexform’s 2026 collection journeyed from its flagship showroom through a curated Mediterranean garden that stood on a site dating back to the 16th century.
If the sofa in the living room could speak, what stories would it share? This is the idea behind Flexform’s latest collection, ‘The Private Lives of Objects,’ presented at its flagship showroom during Milan Design Week 2026. The family-founded brand explores the role of furniture as a vessel of memory, witnessing conversations and emotions, and capturing traces of use and everyday life.

The brand treats its collections as families, expanding gradually year by year. The new Loungescape bed by Antonio Citterio, for instance, is an extension of the Loungescape collection that featured only a seating system last year. At the same time, Flexform’s shared range of finishes also allows pieces from different collections and designers to achieve visual coherence, coming together in harmony. This is seen in the new Soreto mirror by Fumie Shibata and Louise nightstands by Patrick Norguet, which complement the Loungescape bed to complete the bedroom composition.
Besides its collections, the brand also debuted concrete as a new material, marking its first use in its history through the new Tara dining and coffee tables by German designer Sebastian Herkner. Available in both the indoor and outdoor collections, Tara takes its name from the Hill of Tara, an ancient site sacred to the Irish royal dynasty, where weathered rock formations have stood the test of time, reflecting the strength and permanence of its namesake.
From the Flexform showroom, the story continues into the city: to the Chiostro Sant’Angelo, a historic cloister developed by legendary architect Giovanni Muzio. Here, the outdoor version of the Tara table is presented alongside the rest of the brand’s outdoor offerings. With the arrival of spring, the space blossomed with citrus trees, rosemary, and wisteria. Even within the centre of Milan, a nexus of fashion and design, the setting is calm and serene, befitting the brand’s enduring and timeless character.
