Experience Molteni&C Through Six Storeys And Six Botanical Worlds

During this year’s Milan Design Week, Molteni&C presented its 2026 indoor collection at its six-storey flagship in Milan’s Quadrilatero district, where legacy houses line the street and the city’s chicest come to shop. Expressed through soft and flowing forms, the collection is designed to be easy on the eye, allowing the gaze to glide through it as one seamless composition.

Now in his 10th year as creative director of the brand, Vincent Van Duysen envisioned a conceptual villa, set within a riverine landscape of sharp grass meadows and tropical forests. Inside, wood in chestnut and oak tones were contrasted against bone-coloured mineral plasters and natural surfaces, creating a warm and measured atmosphere.

This idea is translated into the Physis kitchen, where its rounded sides and edges suggest a sense of fluidity inspired by the river. The countertop is made from Rainforest Green, a new natural stone finish from South America that recalls meadows and forests, while the cabinetry is clad in Amber Oak, a new addition to Molteni&C’s family of oaks. These materials are interchangeable to craft infinite configurations, including the use of Hinoki veneer, a precious Japanese wood prized for its resistance to humidity and natural antibacterial properties, making it ideal for the kitchen.

The outdoor collection continued nearby in the historic Senato Citterio building. Its enclosed courtyard, Garden Senato, opened exclusively for the week to host a site-specific installation titled Responsive Nature, conceived by Elisa Ossino Studio. Crafted to explore the coexistence of humanity and nature, the space led visitors through six different botanical worlds that felt almost otherworldly—from the lush and pure manner of the Garden of Eden and tranquil, reflective pools of the Aquatic Garden, to the ethereal and nocturnal setting of the Lunar Garden.
