Aman Seoul To Debut As The Brand’s First Property In South Korea
Aman is set to make its mark in Cheongdam, the city’s most coveted neighbourhood.
Aman is turning its gaze to South Korea, bringing one of the world’s leading ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle brands to one of Asia’s most dynamic cities.
Often likened to Seoul’s answer to Beverly Hills, the Cheongdam neighbourhood in the heart of Gangnam district is an ultra-prime enclave, where trophy residences, luxury flagships, and the city’s most exclusive addresses converge. It is where chaebol (large, family-owned industrial conglomerate) heirs share the neighbourhood with the country’s biggest stars such as BTS’ V. In Seoul, a home with a view of the Han River is the ultimate expression of real estate prestige. Aman Seoul is set to combine these elements with a property in Cheongdam overlooking the Han River, created in partnership with global asset management and developer Shinsegae Property. The latter is the premier lifestyle and real estate development arm of the Shinsegae Group, South Korea’s largest retail conglomerate. Aman Seoul is set to be a fully integrated destination, which will comprise a hotel, a limited collection of branded residences, as well as a global Aman Club.

According to Aman, “The architecture and interiors of Aman Seoul have been developed in close dialogue with partners and craftspeople deeply rooted in South Korean sensibilities. Generous suites and public areas draw on Korean spatial traditions and materiality. In keeping with Aman’s harmonious design ethos, the architecture and minimalist contemporary interiors are composed to create environments that feel calm, grounded, and intrinsically connected to their locale.” This understated approach feels particularly attuned to Seoul, where luxury is increasingly expressed not through conspicuous logos, but through privacy, craftsmanship, and the discernment to recognise quality without needing it to announce itself. The hotel, the residences, and the Aman Club will also have separate entrances and arrival sequences for privacy and to maintain their distinct identities.
In true Aman style, their commitment to wellbeing will be reflected through spa and wellness facilities spanning multiple floors, designed to support both physical and mental restoration. The property will include a diverse global food and beverage programme, including the brand’s own dining concepts. Complementing these offerings will be an exclusive global Aman Club, which will include a dedicated pool, fitness facilities, and social spaces, a private setting for residence owners and members to gather.
Additionally, the exclusive branded residences will allow a rare and private circle to make Aman’s way of life their own. Aman Interiors will bring the brand’s distinct and refined aesthetic language into the home through bespoke furnishings and carefully curated interior elements.

As of the time of writing, the property has yet to announce an official opening date. Aman Seoul follows Aman Tokyo, Aman New York, and Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, alongside forthcoming projects including Aman Beverly Hills, Aman Miami Beach, Aman Dubai, and Aman Singapore. Surprisingly, for one of Asia’s most influential cities, Seoul has historically had a relatively modest luxury-hotel offering, unlike Bangkok or Singapore, where five-star hotels are an integral part of the city’s luxury identity. In contrast, Seoul’s high-end experience has traditionally been scattered across its galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and design-led spaces. But with Aman Seoul, it looks like things are set to change.
