Reinforcing ITs Presence
The first official Panerai boutique store has just opened in Kuala Lumpur and it was jointly officiated by Panerai and Swiss Watch Gallery. The store, snugly nestled in the heart of the city, will undoubtedly become a beacon to fans and collectors of the Florentine watch brand, drawing them into its premises in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. On the day of the launch, guests arrived eager to see this new hub. Invitees weren’t limited to those from Malaysia, however, as friends and fans of Panerai also came from around the region to attend this opening.
Such a gathering certainly puts the vision of Panerai CEO Jean-Marc Pontroué into action. “The debut of our latest global retail and brand concept here, in Kuala Lumpur, seeks to reinforce Panerai’s presence in Malaysia and in the South East Asia region,” he says. The august assembly of attendees included Giacomo Cinelli the Managing Director of Panerai Southeast Asia and Oceania, Sharan Valiram the Executive Director of Valiram Group, Silvia Marrara from the Italian embassy and Lovell Ho the Senior Director of Pavilion Retail and Leasing.
Once over the store’s threshold, guests were taken into an underwater realm where a multi-sensory installation that featured creatures of the sea teased and tickled their senses. This was just the start of the night’s trove of experiential activities. DJ Blink entertained the crowd while Italian liqueurs and cocktails were happily drained from glasses with fresh seafood canapes filling hungry tummies.
“It is an honour for Swiss Watch Gallery to partner with Panerai in Malaysia. This new partnership further consolidates our position as a leading luxury watch retailer in the region. We look forward to working hand-in-hand with Panerai in providing exceptional experience for our valued customers in this state-of-the-art boutique”, says Sharan Valiram, Executive Director of Valiram Group, the conglomerate that owns and operates Swiss Watch Gallery.
The new Panerai boutique store also showcased the brand’s latest Submersible collection including the Panerai Submersible Marina Militare CarbotechTM – 47 mm (PAM00979), a professional underwater watch with remarkable technical characteristics and a military look, dedicated to the historic partnership between the brand and the Italian Navy. Also, showcased for the very first time in Malaysia were four new Radiomir watches with fetching military green dials.
The Panerai boutique is located at Lot 2.46.01B, Level 2, Pavilion KL, 168, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.
