Swiss Watch makes a swanky splash up north with its newly redesigned boutique located at Gurney Paragon mall. The 2,523 sq ft space is a multi-brand emporium of horology, representing watchmaking maisons the likes of Blancpain, Breitling, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Tudor and Zenith among others.
One of the key designs which guests may look forward to at the remodelled boutique is a built-in bar where they can peruse timepieces at their leisure over a drink. This boutique launch also coincides with the Ultimate 2023 Novelties Showcase which runs till August 7th. At this showcase, visitors can gaze upon a Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Gold, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Rendez-Vous Jewellery Tourbillon with its triple circles of diamonds and mother-of-pearl dial, Bovet’s bejewelled The Recital 23, and a special edition Breitling Swiss Watch Edition, which celebrates the retailer’s two decades as a multi-brand timepiece emporium, from its founding at the Penang International Airport in 2001. Since then, Swiss Watch has grown to nine multi-brand boutiques, and over 20 specialist watch and jewellery boutiques, spread across Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and Thailand.
“The opening of Swiss Watch’s newly redesigned boutique in Gurney Paragon serves as the next exciting chapter for the company as it continues its journey to enhance the watch retail experience for our customers here in Malaysia,” said Ashvin Valiram, Executive Director of Valiram, at the launch event. The evening saw 100 invited guests enjoying pre-event cocktails at the new boutique before adjourning to dinner at St. Jo’s heritage building, where they were entertained by the melodious strumming of jazz guitarist Ihzwan Omar (Iju) and dined on the culinary magic of Michelin-rated restaurant Gēn 根. The latter didn’t disappoint with an imaginative dinner rendition of skipjack tuna on fermented beancurd puree, chargrilled leeks with slow-cooked egg yolk, a dry-aged roasted duck with passion fruit sauce and a white corn burnt crème with salted caramel and white corn gelato, paired with Telmont Reserve Brut champagne, Champalou Vouvray Chenin Blanc and Principiano Ferdinando Barolo di Serralunga.
