In line with Prada’s tenet of conversational creativity, the latest Fall/Winter 2024 collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons illustrates a well-synergised exchange of ideas, pictorially portrayed in a schematic campaign. Photographed by Willy Vanderperre, the campaign features an ensemble cast of actors, including Harris Dickinson, Damon Idris, Ma Yili, Hunter Schafer and Letitia Wright, captured in candid moments of interaction. Direct and unembellished, the campaign imagery highlights inherent human behaviours of growth, connection and discovery.
The Human Nature menswear collection takes on elements from outdoors and nature, bringing forth familiar elements of seasonal cycles instead of artificial constructs. From cashmere cardigans and sweaters to single-breasted wool jackets with notch lapels and classic-cut cotton shirts, these wardrobe pieces set the cadence of comfort for the approaching colder months. Other key items include the spacious buckle-belt bag crafted in soft leather with an interchangeable belt, violet technical fabric pants with geometric texture, and the Re-Nylon knit cap covered in tonal motifs.
Conversely, the womenswear collection references Instinctive Romance, embedding historical influences from various eras into its pieces. Here, you’ll find ready-to-wear pieces such as the oversized ivory wool and cashmere cardigan with dropped shoulders, ribbed knit neck trim, and college style patches; embroidered habotai silk midi skirt in a pencil silhouette; and a poplin mini dress with a waist-accentuating belt. Featured bags include the medium suede handbag with detachable and adjustable shoulder straps, the Aimée large shoulder bag, and the reimagined Prada Re-Edition 2005 bag with Re-Nylon and Saffiano leather accents. Additional accessories consist of sunglasses with varied frames, a Re-Nylon bucket hat, and a printed silk twill skinny scarf.
