Sanlorenzo Unveils Its Largest-Ever Crossover Yacht Yet: The SX120

At the Cannes International Yachting Festival this September, renowned Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo will unveil its largest-ever crossover yacht. The SX120 blends the defining traits of both explorer and flybridge yachts into a 120-foot, 270GT nomadic haven. Although its sleek exteriors are already a sight to behold, a treasure lies within in the form of the Inboard Performance System Professional Platform by Volvo Penta, the first superyacht ever to feature this revolutionary system. Twin 1,000 HP engines are used per pod, delivering the performance of larger engines at a maximum speed of 23 knots with a smaller footprint, reduced fuel consumption, and lower emissions.

Zuccon crafted its sleek, sporty exterior lines, while Studio Lissoni was responsible for the spacious interiors with its signature sophisticated material research. This is displayed through refined wooden quills on the ceiling as well as a magnificent sculptural wooden staircase covered in steel on the Main Deck that connects the decks seamlessly. Ascend this to arrive at the Upper Deck, which boasts a panoramic 360-degree view that opens to the horizon, a versatile space that can serve as a dining area, media room, or playroom. This flows into a sea-facing, cosy lounge, which links through an external staircase to one of the SX120’s most distinctive innovations: the Flybridge, reimagined for the first time on this class of yacht as an elegant Sun Deck.

On the Flybridge, a new concept is introduced in the form of a Smart Island, a modular and seating system that can be freely configured and enhanced with optional features, designed as a discreet hideaway. And for those who live for days under the sun, the yacht includes a 40 sqm beach area that can extend up to 70 sqm thanks to opening side terraces, including a pop-up swimming pool hidden under a sliding sundeck.

The Largest Tiffany & Co. Flagship Store In Asia Is Now Open In Ginza, Tokyo

Tiffany & Co.’s flagship Tokyo store opened in 1996 in Ginza. Recently, the brand celebrated the reopening of this iconic location as it is now its largest flagship store in all of Asia. Its celebrated faceted facade, designed by legendary Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, remains, but the interiors have been completely transformed by architect Peter Marino. The house’s most popular collections—such as Tiffany Lock, Tiffany Hardwear, and more—are on the first floor, while the second floor hosts engagement rings, wedding band designs, and high jewellery objects d’art. There is a private salon on the third floor, while works from artists such as Damien Hirst and Rashid Johnson are showcased throughout the flagship store. Other never-before-seen products, such as limited-edition home objects and Tiffany Victoria jewellery, are available exclusively in this Ginza location, as well as many significant designs from Tiffany & Co.’s archives from its 186-year history. The reopening event was attended by luminaries such as Pharrell Williams, Ai Tominaga, and Mikey Madison, among many others.

Tumi Opens Its First Flagship Store In China

Tumi’s first flagship store in China recently opened in Shanghai Centre, on Nanjing West Road. The store’s sculptural facade is inspired by the ever-changing, perpetually dynamic motions of travel as well as the brand’s signature 19 Degree design motif. Within the store, a luxurious ambience is achieved thanks to marble accents, refined metal and stone textures, serene neutral tones, and other contemporary elements. This Shanghai flagship store also includes a dedicated art installation space, which kicked things off with Journey by modern artist Xu Fei. The artwork is made with natural bamboo, and reflects the Chinese cosmological concept of ‘round heaven and square earth’, as well as expressing the balance of fluidity and grounding. Other highlights of Tumi’s first flagship store in China include an open-concept VIP space, an interactive materials wall, and scenario-based displays of the brand’s full range of men’s, women’s and travel products and accessories.

The Iconic Force 10 Bracelet Now Glitters With The FRED Hero Cut Diamond

The FRED Hero Cut, first created in 2022, comprises 36 facets which draw inspiration from the contours of a sailboat and a shield, which honour the House’s founder Fred Samuels’ passion for the sea and values of courage. Recognised and certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), this cut results in a diamond of absolute flawless clarity without any shadows, a testament to FRED’s craftsmanship. A sparkling 0.5-carat FRED Hero Cut diamond now acts as a nucleus of a Force 10 bracelet, with the emblematic interchangeable buckle. The bracelet is offered in a large format in pink or white gold.

Chaumet Crafts Jewellery That Tells Time

Around 1811, the maison created one of the first pairs of wristwatches in the history of watchmaking for Princess Augusta of Bavaria. More than two centuries on, Chaumet continues to craft exquisite high jewellery watches such as the Maharani de Chaumet Secret Watch, where a removable cover comprising brilliant-cut and pear-shaped diamonds opens to reveal a Swiss-made aventurine dial. The white gold watch with a Swiss mechanical self-winding movement was inspired by a spectacular negligee necklace created in 1913 for the Maharajah of Indore and reflects the grandeur and glamour of his era. Other precious timepieces from the maison include the Souveraine de Chaumet Secret Watch with a lace-like cover that encapsulates the beauty of winter and the L’Épi de Blé de Chaumet Secret Watch, which uses gold to render sculpted ears of wheat.
