In our weekly TWIL series, we bring you the latest in luxury news from around the world. This week’s highlights: The Phantom Dentelle is Rolls-Royce bespoke at its finest with floral lace and rose gold accents, Breguet revisits a 1955 classic with two new Type XX Chronographe 2075 models, and more.

This Exquisite One-Of-One Rolls-Royce Phantom Dentelle Is A Gift For A Father

With the help of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ Private Office Dubai, a client recently commissioned an immaculate one-of-one Phantom Dentelle as a gift for their father. The motor car features a two-tone bespoke finish on the exterior (lower body in Crystal over Arctic White; upper body in Crystal over Palais Nemasker Dawn), a Spirit of Ecstasy in Rose Gold, and a hand-painted motif of a leafy branch with ‘pearl berries’, the last of which is related to the artworks on the interior. The marque’s Interior Trim Centre utilised more than 160,000 stitches to showcase a bespoke artwork for the Gallery—a floral composition inspired by couture lace. When the client’s father is in this Phantom Dentelle, he will see petals, ferns, and lacework, crafted with embroidered layers featuring several stitch techniques, thread densities, and tonal blends in Rose Gold, Sunrise, and Oatmeal. Then, there are a further 70,000 stitches noticeable in the Waterfall section between the rear seats, as well as speaker grilles in Rose Gold.

Breguet Reveals Two New Type XX Chronograph Models For 250th Anniversary

In celebration of its 250th anniversary, Breguet recently unveiled the Type XX Chronographe 2075 in New York, following earlier commemorative editions in Paris and Shanghai. Inspired by a 1955 civilian chronograph (bearing the serial number 1780), this new release comes in two versions: one with a black anodised aluminium dial, the other with a solid silver dial. Both models are crafted from Breguet gold—a proprietary alloy with warm blond tones—and feature flyback chronograph functionality. Inside are manually wound versions of the high-frequency calibre 728, introduced in 2023. The black-dialled model houses the calibre 7279 with a 15-minute counter, while the silver-dialled version contains the calibre 7278 with a 30-minute counter. Both include a small seconds display at 9 o’clock. The 38.3 mm case mirrors the dimensions of the original 1955 model, complete with a slim, bi-directional rotating bezel and Breguet’s signature ‘B’ crown. A sapphire caseback reveals a hand-engraved depiction of the Breguet 19 aircraft and its 1930 Paris-New York route. Each watch is paired with an interchangeable strap in gradient black or blue to match the dial.

Coffee Meets Craft At Cosentino And Lamarsa’s Creative Masterclass

When great design meets great coffee, inspiration naturally follows. Cosentino recently teamed up with Lamarsa for an intimate design and coffee session at the Cosentino Showroom in Kuala Lumpur. The masterclass offered a creative deep dive into how thoughtful design and quality equipment can elevate the coffee experience, whether at home or in a commercial setting. Interior designer Leonard Mak of LM Studio shared key principles for designing a functional and intuitive brew corner, emphasising that a space should adapt to its user—not the other way around. Mak also addressed challenges such as selecting a durable, stain-resistant surface; he recommended the Dekton surface for its resilience against spills and everyday kitchen stains.

World champion barista Shaun Liew, co-founder of Ono Specialty Coffee & Matcha and Curated Coffee Roasters, complemented the discussion with insights on balancing flavour, body, and texture in coffee. He demonstrated the La Marzocco Linea Micra and La Marzocco Linea Mini espresso machines (both carried by Lamarsa), paired with the La Marzocco Pico Coffee and Mahlkonig X64SD Coffee Grinders, all set atop Dekton surfaces. To wrap up the session, guests enjoyed a selection of coffee beverages, including a refreshing coffee mocktail called Summer Paradise.
