Bicentennial bottling
Lagavulin is blowing out the candles on its 200th with a stylish quarter-century expression. The Lagavulin 25 Year Old (RM5,500) is a cask-strength peaty libation limited to 8,000 bottles worldwide. Re-released to commemorate the distillery’s double century, the names of all 12 distillery managers feature on the front to honour their achievements and the occasion. Touted as the first 25 Year Old release matured exclusively in sherry casks, this expression joins the 8 Year Old as celebratory releases.
