On a balmy Thursday morning, 24 members of the Ferrari Owners’ Club Malaysia (FOCM) gathered on the greens of the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club for a friendly championship of the Grand Old Game. Designed by Australian architect Ross Watson in the late 90s, the 18-hole course occupies a 170-acre site atop the rolling terrain of Kota Permai, and has been recognised as one of the top golf courses in the country.

Supported by  TaylorMade and its official Malaysian distributor, MST Golf, the championship had members tee off throughout the day while they kept hydrated with cold-pressed juices, courtesy of JuiceMax, a subsidiary of Optimax—one of the most reputable eye care providers in Southeast Asia and the pioneer of laser vision correction in Malaysia.

After a lengthy game under the sun, players were ushered to one of the club’s event spaces for a cordial prize-giving dinner, where they savoured a buffet and pours of the sumptuous Bisquit & Dubouché XO, a full-bodied cognac serving notes of plum, gingerbread, and liquorice. Guests were also treated to a showcase of Sony’s new Bravia 9 II televisions—featuring “True RGB” displays to deliver the brand’s most true-to-life colour ever.

Prizes included a RM10,000 voucher from MST Golf, a 3-day, 2-night stay at Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast, courtesy of JNE Tour & Travel, and a cutting-edge flap-free LASIK procedure from Optimax. Each player also received vouchers and gift cards from Technogym, physiotherapy centre PhysioMax, and Stanzo Italia.
