Robb Report Malaysia’s Southern Coast Rendezvous Showcased Wheels And Anti-Ageing Magic

At the sunny residential enclave of Senibong Cove in Johor Bahru, Robb Report Malaysia recently hosted its readers to two days of British automotive performance. This came in the form of Land Rover Malaysia’s fleet with its Range Rover Sport Velar, as well as the fabled off-roading Defender.

As guests arrived to deliciously cool San Pellegrino fruit beverages and Acqua Panna mineral water, they were given a walkaround of the automotive models by the Land Rover Malaysia team before embarking on test drives around the lush green environs of Senibong Cove and beyond.

Here, amid peaceful views of the adjacent marina and with freshly made Italian dishes including the unmissable pizzas from Roberto’s, guests also enjoyed a selection of cocktails concocted with the super-premium, citrus-forward Italian Malfy gin produced by the Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, Italy. Notes of hand-picked juniper, Italian lemons, pink grapefruits and oranges in the gin recalled the beautiful, languid summers of the Amalfi Coast.

At the alfresco terrace of Roberto’s, cigar specialists Mighty Milestone showcased a collection of Cuban and non-Cuban variants, providing an ideal afternoon segue into the evening with Malfy gin cocktails and drams of The Glenlivet single-malt Scotch as accompaniment.

Inside Roberto’s, guests of the feminine persuasion enjoyed an in-depth masterclass session with Swiss anti-ageing and skincare experts La Prairie. Through the session, the brand’s proprietary caviar science innovation showcased a near-miraculous ‘instant lift’ in minutes, while its ultra-luxury Platinum Rare collection in its amethyst-coloured packaging takes skincare to the nth level with targeted skin rejuvenation through platinum-infused peptides.

Along with the masterclass, ladies also enjoyed flutes of Perrier-Jouët champagne, famous for its floral, and intricately complex wines. The bubbly served up its signature bouquet of fresh fruits and buttery brioche, which develop into a crisp, light and fresh palate, giving the afternoon an unmistakable cheer and afterglow. As the day grew long in the tooth, guests continued to partake in sundown cocktails, concluding with shared memories of the day’s excitement on the road, long leisurely draws of cigars and rekindled friendships on an extraordinary weekend.
