The 7 Best Watches of the Week, From Maluma’s Vintage Patek to Pedro Pascal’s Chanel
Seven celebs flaunted stylish timepieces on the streets this week.
It was a good week for watch spotting, with A-listers strapping on some true horological marvels for the Met Gala last week. But those weren’t the only noteworthy timepieces we clocked. Maluma flexed a gorgeous vintage Patek on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Pedro Pascal showed off an elegant Chanel Boy-Friend at The Mandalorian and Grogu premiere in France, Timothée Chalamet donned yet another double-sided Franck Muller, and Kevin Hart rocked a Patek at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival.
The Miami Grand Prix was also a sea of luxury watches. Most of the drivers predictably wore pieces by their team sponsors—race winner Kimi Antonelli sported the new IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Le Petit Prince, for instance—while the celebrities in the stands showed off other beauties, with Terry Crews in an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Jimmy Fallon in a Vanguart Orb, and Patrick Dempsey in the new TAG Heuer Monoco Evergraph, naturally.
Below are the best watch flexes of the week.
Timothée Chalamet: Franck Muller Double-Sided Perpetual Calendar Chronograph

No, you’re not seeing double. Timothée Chalamet showed off yet another double-sided Franck Muller courtside at a Knicks game this week. Last time, it was a yellow-gold chronograph; this time, it’s a platinum perpetual calendar chronograph. Produced in the mid-1990s, the “Equation of Time” is jam-packed with complications. The main dial shows the day, date, and month, plus a moon phase display with a chronograph totalizer inside, day/night and leap year indicators, and even an indicator for the equation of time. On the reverse side lies a one-minute, multimeter scale with a pulsometer, a telemeter, and a tachymeter. The watch was produced in very limited numbers as part of Franck Müller’s early “Master of Complications” era, making examples extremely hard to come by. One was offered at Sotheby’s in 2022, with a pre-sale estimate of US$30,000 to US$50,000. Prices could climb higher still, with Chalamet showcasing the watch on the world stage.
Maluma: Patek Philippe Gondolo
Jimmy Fallon: Vanguart Orb
Jimmy Fallon decided not to wear his gorgeous Cartier Santos-Dumont, affectionately nicknamed “Timepeace,” at the Miami Grand Prix; instead, he donned a highly complex Vanguart Orb. Released in 2024, the titanium timepiece is equipped with a levitating flying tourbillon that allows the wearer to alternate between automatic and manual modes. Upon changing the mode, the diamond-set orbital mass revolves around a titanium track as if it is floating. The Orb is offered in rose gold (US$225,000) or titanium (US$195,000) and is available exclusively in North America at Material Good. (Fallon’s is titanium with a white strap.) Fun fact, Yoni Ben-Yehuda, head of watches at Material Good, actually designed the aforementioned Timepeace, adding an extraordinary malachite dial with gold numerals that draw from alphabets around the world.
Kevin Hart: Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time

Funnyman Kevin Hart wore a seriously smart Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time to the Netflix Is A Joke Festival on Monday. Originally released in 2011, this particular iteration (Ref. 5164A-001) features a 40.8 mm stainless-steel case, a black embossed dial, and a matching black rubber strap. But the highlight is the “Travel Time” mechanism, which enables the simple display of a second time zone. The watch features two hands—one for local time, one for home—plus a date display and two day/night indicators for the respective time zones. This version is no longer on the Patek website, but you can pick one up on the secondary market for around US$100,000.
Patrick Dempsey: TAG Heuer Monaco Evergraph

We know, we know, Patrick Dempsey wearing a TAG Heuer isn’t exactly surprising. He has been a brand ambassador for over a decade, closely aligning with the Swiss watchmaker due to a shared love of motorsport. But the Monaco he wore to the Miami GP is full of surprises. Released at Watches and Wonders in April, the Evergraph introduces a compliant chronograph mechanism built around flexible bi-stable components that replace many of the traditional levers and springs used to start, stop, and reset the chronograph. The new Calibre TH80-00 beats at 5 Hz and features the brand’s TH-Carbonspring oscillator for enhanced magnetic resistance. The open-worked architecture allows the inner workings—the barrel, gear train, and escapement—to be on full display within the signature, square-shaped case. The Evergraph comes in natural or black DLC-coated titanium, with Dempsey going au naturel. Price on request.
Terry Crews: Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore

Terry Crews went against Miami’s tropical palette for the Grand Prix, wearing an all-black Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore trackside. Released in 2025, the 42 mm reference pairs a black ceramic case and bracelet with a black “Méga Tapisserie” dial featuring blackened white-gold hour markers and black chronograph counters. The only deviations from the hue can be found on the steel screws on the bezel, the titanium caseback and crown chip, and the white accents on the dial. Inside lies an in-house self-winding movement (Calibre 4404) that provides a 70-hour power reserve. You can pick one up for US$95,900.
Pedro Pascal: Chanel Boy-Friend
Pedro Pascal channelled classic French elegance at the premiere of The Mandalorian and Grogu in France on Tuesday, wearing a très chic Chanel Boy-Friend on his wrist. Part of the androgynous collection originally launched in 2015, the piece (Ref. H6587) features a sleek octagonal case inspired by the Chanel No.5 perfume bottle and cap, an opaline guilloché dial with a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, a gold crown topped with an onyx cabochon, and a black quilted leather strap that pays homage to the maison’s iconic bags. This appears to be the large, 37 mm version, which retails for US$20,100.
