The star-spangled man with a plan, Captain America
Fresh from the success of its Star Wars line last year, Malaysia’s Royal Selangor is taking another dive into the world of pop culture. This time into the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the hero that represents the stars, stripes and all things good: Captain America.
Produced for Singapore’s Comicave Studies in celebration of the Captain’s 75th anniversary, the pewter statue is a replica of the life-sized bronze statue of the superhero unveiled at the San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC) in July 2016. There will only be 100 pieces of the pewter statue produced, each standing at 930cm and weighing 15kg, including its wooden base. Packaged in a special wooden box, each pewter Steve Rogers is priced at RM19,500.
