This Mid-Autumn Festival, Savour These Exclusive Mooncakes While Marvelling At The Moon

Mid-Autumn Festival is here and immerse ourselves in the tradition of savouring the round-shaped mooncakes while we sip tea and marvel at the glowing moon above. Here are five more delicious and exclusive mooncakes you’ll find this year.

W Kuala Lumpur

W Kuala Lumpur’s Moonlit Fever Mooncake collection harps on the vivid hues of mod and retro, making a bold entrance with its sleek carrier bag. Available in two stylish colourways: emerald green and sunrise orange, each Moonlit Fever Collection Bag (RM238) holds four mooncakes of your choice. Pick from six flavours including pure lotus, lotus with single or double yolk, red bean paste with mandarin peel, tiramisu, and mixed nuts. If you’re looking to pair your mooncakes with a refreshing cocktail, W KL’s Moonlit Fever Mixology Kit (RM268) comes complete with a bar spoon and jigger, two signature cocktail ingredients, two alcohol miniatures, and a tiramisu and red bean mooncake. The Moonlit Fever Gift Box (RM268) is also available for purchase, complete with two premium teas, two mooncakes, a jar of candied sesame walnuts, a box of trio chocolate bars, and an Eleph keyring.

St Regis Kuala Lumpur

St Regis Kuala Lumpur is tipping its hat to founder John Jacob Astor IV’s love for Polo this Mid-Autumn festival, with a unique rendition of the sport on its mooncake trunks. Mimicking a polo player’s saddle, the trunk is wrapped in an orange leatherette, covered in fine stitching, and embellished with handsome metal hardware features. This season’s Classic Mooncake Trunk carries four (RM268) or eight (RM388) beloved lotus seed paste with single yolk mooncakes that make a sophisticated gift to loved ones. The main spectacle remains to be St Regis’ iconic Super Mooncake Trunk (RM398) in a gorgeous suede orange, housing a family-sized 6.5-inch Prosperity Mooncake with eight yolks at the centre. Have it on its own or turn the celebrations up a notch and pair it with a neat Macallan 18 Years Old Double Cask (RM3,698).

Other unique flavours include the decadent white lotus paste snow skin mooncake with a luxurious durian-filled centre, as well as the Creamy Lava baked mooncake. Each baked mooncake set comes in a sleek red box reminiscent of an antique jewellery case, while the snow skin mooncakes are packaged in a more modern box depicting a golden moon right in the centre, sealed with an amicable white rabbit.

Each mooncake is priced from RM20 to RM40. For enquiries or to place an order, WhatsApp +6012 754 4796.
