Virgil Abloh takes to the streets yet again for Off-White’s Spring Summer 2019 ready-to-wear collection, which harnesses the power of bold graphics, structured silhouettes, and strong denim attire. The collection, which Abloh has named ‘Jim Stark’ (prices range between RM150 to RM20,000), is based on his muse of a ‘universal teenager’ in New York, with multiple nods to skate culture, the concept of rebellion, and the city’s artistic, nostalgic nature. Subversion runs rampant across the tees, jackets, and elevated utility jeans decorated with industrial chains and charms, where Bart Simpson rubs shoulder with James Dean throughout this style-savvy, insouciant collection.
