The conical shaped cup is chosen based on fluid dynamics, perfect for ensuring maximum formation of crema – the foam on an espresso that is considered coffee’s Holy Grail. The cones are then balanced on a curved stand, lovingly and securing cradling the shot, ensuring no spillage.
The litany of engineering details that went into crafting a Deviehl cup are many, even though not all will appreciate it.
