Devialet Unveils Its Latest Phantom Ultimate, Now In A Striking New Aesthetic
Priced at RM9,100 for a single unit and RM18,200 for a stereo pair, it offers dynamic sound and intense clarity.
What does an F1 driver and an audiophile have in common? The need for precision and performance.
From its debut in 2015, the Devialet Phantom has revolutionised hi-fi audio equipment in both design and technological feats. Its compact size, alongside its high-end audio output, with its ultra-deep infra-bass and three-dimensional sound, redefined the genre. A decade on, the maison took these feats to new heights with upgraded acoustics and a more refined design with the Phantom Ultimate. Now, only a year after the Ultimate’s release, the maison unveils its newest edition: the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue, which comes to life with an all-blue finish and has Isack Hadjar, driver for Oracle Red Bull Racing, fronting the campaign.
The new edition signals performance, precision, and power like never before. Reflecting the focus needed on the track and in the cockpit, the cool clarity of its Pulse Blue surface gives the audio system a striking new aesthetic. Famous for its unique, futuristic, sculptural design language, Devialet enhances the Phantom Ultimate with a new mirror-polished gloss side panel and a clear varnish that enhances the steel blue hue even further. Paired with the Tree Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue stand, the audio system makes a statement no matter the space it’s in.
As its name suggests, the speaker delivers a maximum of 98 dB, which is impressively loud for a compact speaker, thanks to an equally impressive 400-watt output. It has an exceptionally wide frequency range of 18 Hz to 25 kHz, allowing it to faithfully and fully reproduce the subtle details of a recording. It supports a high-resolution 24-bit/192 kHz audio format. Naturally, the Phantom adopts several of Devialet’s patented technologies, such as Heart Bass Implosion, which uses a unique architecture to produce impressively deep bass, and Adaptive Volume Level, which automatically adjusts volume on the fly to preserve every detail of a recording, even at lower volumes. It offers distortion-free playback, with a broadened acoustic field for heightened precision and balance, regardless of where you’re standing in your room. Perfect for solo, stereo, or multi-room configurations, all you need to do is separate the left and right channels for an expanded soundstage, greater depth, and a more dynamic listening experience in every corner of the room.
Building on the maison’s signature defined sound and distinctive design language, the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB – Pulse Blue breathes new life into the acoustic marvel. It is priced at RM9,100 for a single unit and RM18,200 for a stereo pair.
