This October, Nobu KL will be paying homage to a classic Japanese ingredient with a special month-long Omakase menu. Yuba, the soft, chewy tofu skin that can be found in a variety of recipes across Japan, will take centre stage in a menu specifically orchestrated to bring out its unique and subtle flavours.
With this special one-of-a-kind menu, Executive Chef Philip Leong and Sushi Head Chef Micheole “Chico” Anung Dator will explore a new vision and interpretation for the timeless staple. Prepared in-house by the talented kitchen team at Nobu KL, the soy-based creations will take on several tantalising forms. For example, the impressive meal opener – a Nobu Style Moriwase – features a Yuba Tarama, Nama Yuba Tiradito and soy pudding with premium tomato juice. The Seared Arctic Char with a homemade tofu loaf and Sancho pepper sauce is also set to be a crowd pleasing favorite.
The highlight of the Omakase menu is the Wagyu Duo – a Wagyu “Shabu Shabu” rolled with fresh Yuba and served with an invigorating yuzu truffle tofu crema.
Priced at RM485++ per person, the Special Yuba Omakase menu will run from October 5 to October 31 2018 and will feature a selection of mouthwatering dishes such as:
