the Sensational jock
Porsche’s new 911 GT3 (RM1.7 million) comes to Malaysia with two transmission choices — a fun-laden six-speed manual, or the standard-issue, fast-shifting seven-speed PDK dual-clutch.
The marque from Zuffenhausen ditches the old 3.8-litre unit for a new 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated mill. The new GT3 now packs 500hp and 460Nm, which enables it to reach a heady top speed of 318km/h. On the 0-100km/h sprint, the PDK autobox clocks it in at 3.4-seconds, beating the manual variant by half a second.
An updated exterior now includes a new front bumper, refreshed headlights and tail lamps. Inside, a new 918 Spyder-like three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in alcantara, with two body-hugging Sport Seats Plus which recall the performance-bred models by Porsche.
