Robb Report And Malaysia Dato’ Entrepreneurs’ Association Celebrate Good Living At Emerald Bay

On a recent Saturday, on Malaysia’s southern peninsula, the tranquil Emerald Bay neighbourhood sprang to life with the arrival of members from the distinguished Malaysia Dato’ Entrepreneurs’ Association – a grouping of ladies and gentlemen who have been bequeathed with the honorary title for their distinguished services and achievements.

Here, surrounded by the many unique features of this waterside development such as a clubhouse with yacht berths, guests were ferried across in an Aquila 36 by Simpson Marine to the project’s crown jewel – the villas on The Island, a collection of 12 three-storey bungalows, each boasting its own pool, elevator and yacht berth. Here, the ladies received a pampering session by premium Japanese skincare brand Decorte who showcased their Meliority range. Meanwhile, the gentlemen were quickly taken by the sight of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ Cullinan SUV, as well as the Black Badge Ghost.

Inside the show villa – with interiors by Geoffrey Thomas Associates – the swish pieces of Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Sartoria line in the palatial master bedroom offered a stunning insight into the intricate, haute couture refinement of this maison. On the ground floor, Johnnie Walker Blue Label took guests through a sensory journey of scents, tastes and emotions as they teased out the various aromas and flavour profiles contained in a bottle of Blue Label, where only one in 10,000 casks is deemed to attain the level required to be bottled as such.

The night segued into a dinner of wagyu, rock lobster and Iberico chops, as well as a tasting of the John Walker King George V spirit, one which is blended from rare whisky stocks such as Cardhu, Lochnagar and Port Ellen to produce a nose of Christmas pudding and brand butter, a palate of fruit, caramel and wood smoke, and a malty, caramel finish.
