Dr. Samuel Ross Redefines Time With Hublot’s Limited Edition Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A

Artist and designer Dr. Samuel Ross continues to push the boundaries of creativity in his latest collaboration with Hublot, unveiling the Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A. Ross’s artistic language is evident in the design of this timepiece. The entire case, from crown to bezel, is crafted in shiny micro-blasted titanium, creating a cohesive and industrial appearance. The crown subtly overmolds in grey rubber, while the tourbillon bridge harmonises easily with three smooth rubber straps––available in vivid green, black or white. Envisioned back in 2020, Ross employs a hexagonal honeycomb pattern that incorporates imprints of nature’s sacred geometry to tell 40 years of Hublot history. This pattern, replicated in titanium plates, brings a sense of motion to the watch. Ross takes on this tourbillon by combining organic and industrial elements, referencing Hublot’s art of fusion ethos, with transparent structures and the use of rubber and metal. The Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A is driven by the technical design of the 282-component manufacture HUB6035 calibre, beating at 3 Hz, with a 72-hour power reserve. This tourbillon is limited to a production run of only 50 pieces.

Tricker’s has been the longest-established shoemaker in England since 1829. Now, it has collaborated with Burberry for a collection that builds on the heritage of craft and expertise to match the creative vision of the Burberry Autumn Winter 2023 collection by Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee. Inspired by Tricker’s original country footwear, the collection features brogues, Chelsea boots and Derby shoes in a range of colours and fabrications that include aubergine calf leather and warm camel suede. Adhering to the values of Tricker’s, the sole and upper are traditionally stitched to welted leather insoles so that each part can be repaired and refurbished for many years of wear.
