At Forest Furniture Malaysia’s Bangsar showroom, Robb Report Malaysia hosted an intimate gathering that explored the nuances of refined Italian living, craftsmanship, and contemporary design dialogue. Titled Where It All Begins: Refined Italian Living, the event unveiled the showroom’s newly renovated second floor—conceived in collaboration with Millimetre Design—and anchored by statement pieces from Italian luxury furniture house Visionnaire.
A key moment of the evening came with the presence of Filippo Basso, APAC director of Visionnaire, who presented the brand’s philosophy of ‘meta-luxury’—where design transcends function to become an expression of identity. His perspective emphasised meticulous detailing, cultural awareness, and the creation of cohesive, immersive interiors. “Our identity is yours,” Basso explained. “Clients are the true drivers of their homes. Although every Visionnaire piece is instantly recognisable, it is also uniquely tailored to each individual.”
Design principal of Millimetre Design, Alan Fong, reflected on the evolution of the Forest Furniture identity: what began as a name derived from director Logan Lim’s surname has since grown into something more immersive. “Forest Furniture is no longer just a name, but a spatial identity,” Fong noted. “Good design is not just what you see, but what you feel without even realising.”
The space was further elevated through a collaboration with interior stylist Lee Sin of Lee Sin Artisans. Among the highlights was the Golden Fortune Tree by Jacky Tsai—a lacquer-carved work that juxtaposes Western techniques with Eastern symbolism.
Guests were then invited into a series of thought-provoking conversations with Fong, Basso, and Lee Sin, offering deeper insight into the collaborative process behind the space. The evening unfolded alongside a selection of cocktails featuring Johnnie Walker Blue Label, including a Butterfly Pea Whisky Highball and a classic Whisky Sour.
Within this refined setting, Xpel Malaysia introduced its Xpel Vision Architectural Window Film and Surface Protection Film—engineered solutions designed to preserve design integrity while enhancing comfort and longevity.
Rounding out the experience, guests stood a chance to win a three-day, two-night test drive of the Range Rover Velar and the Range Rover Evoque. Also on show was the 2026 Defender and the Range Rover Sport SV—the most powerful and dynamic of the marque’s line-up with its 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, upgraded suspension components, and plush cabins.
The event was further supported by Qing Gallery Kuala Lumpur, K-Array, and Evian, completing an evening that seamlessly blended design, dialogue, and luxury lifestyle.
